Talking to the boys about Harry Potter and reptiles and origami and pumpkin pie. Then we’re talking about apartments and how I’m excited for when I finally will have one. They tell me that if I have a family I might want to think about having a few rooms where I live, maybe even a house. I say we’ll have to see about that. I’m not even dating anyone right now, so it’ll just have to be a surprise, I suppose. They ask me about the boyfriends I’ve had and why I’m not dating them. They ask me if it’s possible for a girlfriend to have a girlfriend, and, oh goodness, I want to say of course it’s  possible. Love comes in many forms. Their parents have decided to raise them as Catholics, and I thought about how I’d like to be invited back. The older of the two quickly concluded that it was not possible for a girl to date a girl, and by saying nothing, I just failed at the universe.
